Star Wars: Prologue

Seeing the creature se'ethor instinctively jumped to one side and did a tuck roll as he turned around he could see lirc frozen and ka'den getting a few shots off. Se'ethor aimed his heavy blaster at the creature but it was moving to quickly. The next thing he sees is ka'den firing a missile at the thing and then charge at it with a sabre. He knew mandos were fearless and warriors but this guy was nuts se'ethor thought as ka'den got tossed aside but the creature. Blastor bolts wizzed at the creature but again it was so quick it dodged. "I guess its all up to me" Se'ethor thought as he took aim....made a quick educated guess as to where the creature would go in its next move and pulled the trigger.

Se'ethor's shot narrowly missed the giant serpent.

OOC: Please wait for me to proceed to the next round, which I will do later today or tomorrow at latest (hopefully).

OOC: There is a 55% chance of resisting the fear of the snake, 60% for Ka'den and Lirc.

IC: Ka'den resists his fear, as does Lirc and Sade and Se'ethor and Yiisha and Laniri.

Lirc charged and stabbed his gaffi into the Fell beast, swinging upward to bludgeon it.

Laniri lets out a volley from her repeating crossbow, and several bolts hit the serpent, which recoils in pain and rage. Yiisha draws her charric and fires a round, hit the serpent solidly between the eyes. The snake seems to be wounded but it is still alive.

OOC: There is now a 52% chance of hitting the snake.

Seeing his failure with the direct attack, Ka'den decides to take a different approach. He turns on the sonic emitter, trying to see if it will distract the serpent, then draws his pistols and starts firing at the wounded places on the serpent, hoping any natural armor it has will be weaker there.

Se'ethor added to the frenzy by taking aim and squeezing off a few more shots at the infernal beast while it was focusing on Ka'den and his attacks.

Seeing the beast fall, Lirc remembered the rest of his dream and charged deeper into the cavern...

Lirc starts hitting at the rock wall. "Does anyone see anything here? Any light of any kind? Any doors? There HAS to be something here!"

"Kaden, how much firepower are you carrying on your person?"

"Enough," he says, taking a wad of plastic explosive from one of the pouches in his belt, and applying it to the stones.

OOC: I feel like Batman with that belt trick. :-P

OOC: "I'll blow up the wall with my bat belt."

IC: Everyone takes cover and the explosive goes off, sending rock chips and sand flying. When the dust and smoke settles, you see...solid living rock.

"That's the back of the tunnel then," says Ka'den. "Or else we'd need an industrial excavation droid to get through it."

OOC: Wes asked me "want to blow something up?", so I pulled some RPG-BS and obliged. :-P

OOC: That's fine.

OOC: Living rock?

OOC: Living Rock. Go read The Silmirillion--or The Fellowship of the Ring.

OOC: I was hoping that meant something mystical that would aid us in our quest. Like breathing rocks or something. Wishful thinking, really...

IC: Seeing that the wall was a dead end, Lirc went over to check the body of the beast they had just taken down. Perhaps there was something it was hiding...

Lirc dusts off the beast and investigates it, but it's not hiding anything. He guts the beast, but this is no krayt dragon--no pearls in its gullet. Something does, however, catch Lirc's eye above his head. He looks up and finds that there is an opening behind the place where the serpent had been hiding in the ceiling..

"Se'ethor, Ka'den. Help me through this cavern opening."

"Happy to oblige, Lirc." Ka'den judges the distance to the ceiling and then sizes up Lirc. "How do you feel about grappling hooks, my desert friend?"
